The planning process for window treatments in this beautiful home in the rolling countryside near Madison began with looking at the home’s blueprints. Early planning helped to create the
perfect window treatments throughout the home. Nearly all of the windows are hard-wired for Hunter Douglas PowerView motorization. Because the windows are hard-wired, homeowners will never have to change or charge a battery pack! They can operate their blinds from their phone, tablet, or remote control.
The frame of the windows is black metal. Along with the interior designer, Betsy Pelsue of Inspired Spaces Interiors Design, and the homeowner, we decided that the white roller shade would provide the best look. They selected a 3% screen shade for most windows and a white room-darkening roller shade in the bedrooms. All white roller shades have a black fabric-wrapped cassette to blend with a black metal frame. The roller shade tucks nicely into the cassette in all windows and doors.
Two rooms have black shades. One room is the home office, and the other is the media room. In these two rooms, the Hunter Douglas Sonnette was selected. The Sonnette black fabric looks fabulous in the home, and it has a white backing facing the outside. This coordinates with the white roller and screen shades perfectly.
Chris Cook of Chris Cook Homes was the builder. The result is a beautiful country home that will serve this active family for decades! The Incredible Windows team is proud that we could help with this lovely home.
