Installation Preparation Checklist for Clients
It’s Installation Day!
Here are a few steps to ensure health and safety:
Social Distancing
While it’s tempting to watch your new Hunter Douglas window treatments being installed, maintaining a minimum of 6 feet of social distance would be greatly appreciated. This ensures safety and allows the installer to work more efficiently.
Facemasks
Facemasks are no longer required in Wisconsin, but they remain a helpful strategy to maintain good health. Our team will wear masks in your home upon request. You are also welcome to wear a mask to ensure your comfort and safety.
Furniture and Window Preparation
Please move all furniture and objects away from the window so the installer can work safely. We recommend cleaning all surfaces in the area and ensuring rugs are secure to prevent slips when using a ladder. Additionally, remove any items from your window sills before the installer arrives.
Additional Information Regarding Installation
- Our team will arrive within the scheduled window. If there’s a delay, the installer will contact you.
- Shoes, boots, hands, and equipment will be cleaned upon arrival.
- Please ensure your driveway, sidewalks, and porch are free of snow and ice to prevent accidents.
- If you or a family member feels ill, please call 608-697-0792 or 715-651-4975 to reschedule. Our team will do the same if we’re unwell.
- Shoes will be removed when entering your home. For safety, the installer will wear shoes during installation.
- Kindly secure pets in a crate or separate room before our arrival and keep them contained during installation.
- All waste materials will be removed from your home after the installation is complete.
- The installer will demonstrate how to operate your new window treatments. You’ll also receive an orange and white card to register your window treatments for the Hunter Douglas Limited Lifetime Warranty.
